Lemon Balm Shingles Remedy
Lemon Balm Shingles Remedy
An application of Lemon balm has been found to be useful in treating some forms of shingles.
You can prepare this shingles remedy as if preparing tea. Simply add two teaspoons of dried lemon leaf to a cup of boiling water. Allow it to cool, then apply the tea onto the skin rash with some sterile cotton pad or cotton wool.
You can repeat this process as often as necessary (with of course, a fresh cotton pad each time).
Another way of doing this is to prepare a tea made of an lemon balm, any assorted mints you have to hand including peppermint, rosemary, sage, spearmint, thyme, oregano and hyssop – and some liquorice.
This combination of mints and herbs is known to contain effective antiviral agents, especially active against the Herpes Zoster virus.
This preparation can be either drunk as a tea or applied to the rash as described above.
