I am a college student and recently have been diagnosed with shingles. I have always had a week immune system, thus getting shingles at the age of 18 didn’t surprise me. I have the usual symptoms, like the rashes, the itching and burning sensation on the side. However, this morning I started to vomit blood. Last weekend I was given Valtrex to take for Shingles. I have no rash with the shingles, just all other symptoms. I have been on the medication 4 days now, and the shingle pain is getting better. I was diagnosed with shingles on Monday. (Rash is on my torso.) I’m on anti-viral meds and pain pills. Today I’m having ear pain. (Intermittent — but much worse than the pain of the primary rash.) Research suggests Ramsay-Hunt, but there’s no facial rash or paralysis. Can there be pain with no other symptoms? Since I’m already on meds, is there anything more the doctor can do?

i have a small rash on my stomach and on my back..it itches a lot and kinda has this electrifying feeling to it at times. its really weird. i have blisters on it now to where it looks like it could be poison oak but i have had a few people ask if its shingles..if anyone has had either of these 2 rashes please let me know what your symptoms were.
